A series of one-day beginner-advanced beginner serger sewing classes

Learn to sew on a serger! ( Juki MO-654DE) A series of beginner- advanced beginner serger sewing classes. Learn the basics of the serger, how to safely operate a serger, about essential sewing tools, putting together and cutting patterns, measuring for patterns, and basic serger sewing skills. All materials included!
Please note: learning how to sew takes time, repetition, patience, and practice. Students will receive practical instruction. Students will be encouraged and guided, and will also receive hands on help. Some skills will take time- the instructor or an assistant instructor may do part of final project sewing. These classes are intended to naturally grow sewing skills. Students will be encouraged to work at her/his own comfortable pace. Over time, students will gain the sewing skills to sew complete projects on her/his own!

Sewing on a Serger: Christmas in July Students will learn how to sew a water bottle bag or bike shorts using a serger under the guidance and with the assistance of a sewing instructor/assistant instructor. Custom fabric from Kammie Lou Lou Custom Fabric and Oh So Pretty Custom Fabric! Monday, July 17th 4:00-6:30pm 12 available spots ( 3-4 students per serger. There will be an instructor or assistant instructor at each serger station. ) TUITION: $40/class. ALL materials included! ( students will pre-choose fabric one week prior to class. Fabric options will be posted in the Facebook group.) Tuition is due in full at time of registration. Tuition is non-refundable. If your student cannot make it to the class, a sewing instructor will sew your fabric and provide you with the finished water bottle bag or bike shorts. Just added! Sewing on a Serger: Fall/Halloween Students will learn how to sew a water bottle bag, bike shorts, shorts or tank top using a serger under the guidance and with the assistance of a sewing instructor/assistant instructor. Monday, August 21st - water bottle bag, bike shorts, shorts 12:30-3:00 - tank top ( prerequisite- water bottle bag and bike shorts classes) 1:00-3:30pm 12 available spots ( 3-4 students per serger. Sewing on a Serger: Basic Skills This class is strongly recommended to take prior to taking a class sewing a pillowcase, bag, bike shorts, shorts, skirt, or a top. Basic Skills class is recommended for students new to a serger, students who haven't sewn on a serger recently, or anyone who would like extra practice! Monday, June 12th 5:00-6:00pm Tuesday, June 20th 5:00-6:00pm ( children and parents may register for this class!) Serger and Sewing skills:

Tuition is not refundable 14 days prior to the class. The Art of Clipping Bands This class is strongly recommended to take prior to taking a class sewing bike shorts/shorts/skirt/top. Bands are commonly found on pieces of clothing created with stretch fabric and sewn at neck, arm holes, and waistbands. Bands can be a challenging sewing skill and take some practice. This class will provide guidance to cutting, measuring, clipping, and sewing bands. Monday, June 12th 5:00-6:00pm Tuesday, June 20th 5:00-6:00pm ( children and parents may register for this class!)
